R.S. Rhine has received the following two quotes for his story "The Seer" in the Dark Delicacies Anthology:

"Other noteworthy contributions come courtesy of Robert Steven Rhine who offers a haunting tale about a terrible unwanted psychic gift." - Rue Morgue Magazine

"There are some true gems in this book. Namely, Ray Bradbury's highly original zombie tale, Robert Steven Rhine's "Seer", Whitley Strieber's prophetic nightmare and Clive Barker's outstanding return to his morbid roots. A must for any horror fan, or anyone who likes shadows as much as the light." - Matthew T. Hickey

"Okay... so Haunt-X didn't suck, after all. I had been warned, several times about the dangers of Haunt-X. Not one to shy away from horror, I went with the flow (actually against the flow in bumper to bumper traffic to LAX) and commandeered my Girls and Corpses booth at Haunt-X for two days in February. I give Haunt-X, four bloody stumps, way up, for the way they handled the convention. Very well organized. Lots of fans showed up, B (really C) celebs, and horror aficionados and probably a few serial killers. My corpse wrangler at Girls and Corpses Magazine shared the booth and the rotting cadavers stopped many in their tracks. My only complaint was being in the back near the hissing and thumping pneumatics. That and the sound loop from "The Exorcist" movie soundtrack which is still playing on a loop in my head, "Mother! Mother!!!" It's enough to possess you. But that's what Haunt-X is all about -- murder and mayhem and they did a bloody good job. I would exhibit at Haunt-X again, gladly, in another booth... by the front.

Michael Berryman ("The Hills Have Eyes") can't take his off the horrific "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell" Bill Moseley ("The Devil's Rejects") points out the Spawn of Satan, R.S. Rhine, while Reggie Banister ("Phantasm") figures out how to pick Rhine's pocket. Leatherface, R.A. Mihailoff (star of "Chainsaw Massacre" III) wears his G&C t-shirt, moments before breaking Rhine's neck.
R.S. Rhine shares a corpse with actress JULIAN BERLIN ("The Darkroom," "Death By Engagement" "Domino") at Rhine 's Haunt-X booth in Los Angeles to promote Girls and Corpses Magazine. Eileen Dietz (Captain Howdy)from "The Excorcist." Of the food at Haunt-X, Eileen felt like puking pea soup. (Actually, she told me it was Andersons). R.S. The Horror Channel Reviews "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell" :

"Author Robert Steven Rhine is a sick man. He is the guy your mother may not have liked for you to hang around or the dude your wife wishes you would stop inviting over. His brain is bubbling with a series of gore-geous grand guignol gags that just sizzle on the hot coals of comic book hell. His latest anthology, Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell, shows that he has serious issues and torrents of torrid tales to tell."

Here's an excerpt from The Horror Channel's review of "Dark Delicacies: Original Tales of Terror":

"Robert Steven Rhine's "The Seer" is one of the most haunting tales of the book. His name may not be as household as Barker's or Bradbury's, but the man's got some serious skill for evoking dread. The story is about man who, like his father and his father's father, is able to see the future of anyone he wants. The problem is he seems to only be able to see the bad stuff, up to and including his own death. When he finally decides to take his life into his own hands instead of those of fate, he realizes too late which is more powerful. Depressing as hell and laden with atmosphere, I have to say it was really the only story of the collection that honestly creeped me out." - Johnny Butane / The Horror Channel

Del Howison, R.S. Rhine and Lisa Morton at their appearance at The Burbank Public Library to discuss their book "Dark Delicacies: Tales of Terror and the Macabre"

"The best I've read in quite awhile. There are some true gems in this book. Namely, Ray Bradbury's highly original zombie tale, Robert Steven Rhine's "Seer," Whitley Strieber's prophetic nightmare and Clive Barker's outstanding return to his morbid roots. A must for any horror fan, or anyone who likes shadows as much as the light." Matthew T. Hickey

Rhine's ROSEMARY's BILLYGOAT art show lived up to it's freaky billing. Illustrators Jim Smith, Frank Forte, Tone Rodriguez, D.W. Frydendall, Mike Sosnowski and Mark Covell displayed their artwork. Two killer bands entertained, led off by Jim Smith and Freehead, which wrapped their set with Smith's strummin' "The Ren and Stimpy Show" theme song. Next up, The Bob Lee band worked the crowd into a lather. Finally, FreakShow Deluxe took the stage and Reverend Tommy Gunn hammerd nine inch nails into his nose, ate fire, reclined face down on a bed of nails and had crowd members staple dollars bills to his body. Rhine, seizing a marketing opportunity, stapled a flyer for his next event (at Golden Apple Comics Oct. 26th) into the Reverend's gut. Things took a stranger turn when the Reverend's nose started gushing blood when a nail hit an artery, or was that his brain seeping out? Click here for photos from the event!

R.S. Rhine and actor pal TONY MORAN (who played knife wielding killer, Michael Myers, in the first "Halloween" movie). Tony was more than a bit perturbed, as were other's at NecroComicon when O.J. Simpson, of all people, was a guest exhibitor... at a horror convention! It was enough to make you scream.

We're very proud of our very own NENAD GUCUNJA who won The BEST CLASSIC COMICBOOK STYLE at the INTERNATIONAL COMIC BOOK SALON in Belgrade, for his artwork on "Hell's Bells" and "The Fungus Among Us", both illustrated for R.S. Rhine graphic novel "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell." Congrats Nenad! You deserve it! Click here to see samples of Nenad's award winning artwork.

From the San Francisco Weekly: Robert Steven Rhine's latest compendium of deviltry, Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell, follows hot on the heels of his crowd-pleasers like Chicken Soup for Satan and Satan Gone Wild, and looks set to satisfy readers' need for freakish comic-strip art of the sick, twisted, and funny variety. Rhine wrote the stories here but got 40-some artists to draw the Christianity-defying sequences; the lineup includes talent associated with Family Guy, Ren & Stimpy, even Disney. The overall effect is goofball gore at its most tumescent; the book is full of sexy girls, decaying guys, and God does not know what-all else. The Grin Creeper, as Rhine calls himself, appears at 3 p.m. at Borderlands Books, 866 Valencia (at 19th Street), S.F. Admission is free; call 824-8203 or visit
